Corporate, Foundation & Government Relations

The Corporate, Foundation & Government Relations Office (CFGR) serves as the intermediary between external funding sources and Trinity College. The office provides information and assistance to the administration and faculty members in securing government, private, and corporate funding to support research and institutional priorities. CFGR includes the Office of Faculty Grants and Sponsored Research, which specializes in funding for faculty research projects. The office provides the following services:

  • Serves as the point of contact for private entities looking to support the College’s programmatic initiatives
  • Aids faculty in the development, preparation, and submission of proposals for grants, fellowships, and projects (including conferences, lecture series, seminars, etc.).
  • Serves as a lay reader of proposal drafts and budgets
  • Helps faculty and staff identify potential funders for a particular project.
  • Assists in the on-line proposal submission process, such as the National Science Foundation's FastLane.
  • Facilitates the internal review process before proposal submission and has final sign-off authority on proposals to be submitted
  • Serves as a contact for funding agencies concerning proposals submitted by faculty members.
  • Monitors post-award reporting between the granting organization, faculty member, and the college's Business Office, which provides fiscal administration of the grant.

The CFGR Office is located in Trinity Commons. Staff contact information can be found on the right.

For government funding, please contact Kristin Magendantz; for corporate or foundation funding, please contact Carol Darr.

Each grant proposal must undergo an internal review process. Please submit completed grant proposals to the CFGR office at least 10 business days before the deadline. Trinity College policy requires that all grant/project proposals be submitted through the CFGR office.
