Career Opportunities

​The Ministry of Education and Science of Spain (MEC), through an agreement with the Education Authorities in the Autonomous Regions, has opened the recruitment period for the North American Language and Culture Assistants in Spain for School Year 2007-2008. 

For students who would like to seek employment Spain and other Spanish-speaking countries, Going Global provides a country overview of work, which includes links to job resources and career advisors.

Students wishing to inform themselves of job opportunities in various countries can access the Jobs Abroad search engine, which includes information on over one hundred countries.  Students can also use the search engine to locate international employment by job type. 

Students who would like to join the more than 182,000 volunteers working on issues ranging from AIDS education to information technology and environmental preservation have the additional option of the Peace Corps

Seniors may apply for a Fulbright Grant to study, research, and/or teach abroad during the year following their graduation. For more information, speak to a Language and Culture Studes professor.
