Kurdistan--the land of mountains and sun:

A Kurdish female fighter entering the city of Kirkuk in Iraqi Kurdistan after the city was liberated from Saddam forces by the coalition forces and Kurdish fighters.  A lot of women are involved in the Kurdish freedom struggle. A Kurdish woman fighter has said in the 30's that "a lion is a lion neither male nor female."
