How Can I Get Help?
As useful as this guide may be, we are aware that it cannot answer every
question you may have. Fortunately there are trained librarians eager to provide
personalized assistance. All you need to do is ask.
Every library on campus has a help or reference desk where you can get answers to your
questions. Hours when librarians are available vary, so be sure to check UT Library's web page to find out when someone will be
around.
For your convenience, help is available by phone or e-mail, as well as in person. The
number for the PCL Reference Desk is 495-4250. The library's web page has numbers for the other units on
campus.
You can also submit questions via our Ask
a Reference Question Service. Questions asked by e-mail will usually receive an
answer in 24-48 hours. Allow more time on weekends. For the most prompt response your best
bet is to simply call or come in to the library.
