PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING END-OF-SEMESTER GUIDELINES:

 

I. Please bring all BORROWED books and articles to my office no later than Friday, May 5 at 3:00 PM. If you are not sure what I lent you, please come to my office before that day to view the list. Also, you need to give these to me in person (and not in my box since they may disappear). For office hours during reading days and finals week, please see our web syllabus http://www.trincoll.edu/~sskar/office.htm  (or my office door).

 II. Your final version must be given to me no later than 12:00 PM on Tuesday, May 9. I hope you will all come to my office at that time so that we can have lunch together and celebrate the end of the semester. J

 III. Please prepare the FINAL VERSION of your THESIS as follows. 5 points will be deducted from the final version grade for each guidline you disregard.

  1. Notes must begin on a NEW page (not continued on the last page of the paper).
  1. The centered heading must read NOTAS.
  1. Use the SAME FONT as your paper.
  1. Double space all notes.
  1. DO include your last name and the page number in the upper right corner of each page following in order after your paper. If you paper ends on Page 40, notes should begin on Page 41.
  1. You MUST follow MLA documentation, and you do not need notes for references with parenthetical documentation in your text.
  1. Try to include as many content notes as possible to refer to books and articles that you have not cited, but that you would like to include in your OBRAS CITADAS.
  1. Your bibliography must begin on a NEW page.
  1. The centered heading must read OBRAS CITADAS.
  1. Use the SAME FONT as your paper and doublespace all entries.
  1. DO include your last name and the page number in the upper right corner of each page following in order after your endnotes.
  1. You MUST follow MLA documentation. See our syllabus for general guidelines or use the MLA guideline book available in the Writing Center or the bookstore (if there are some left).
  1. Try to include as many books and articles as possible. If you haven’t cited them anywhere, DO NOT include them.
  1. DO NOT include an “Obras Consultadas” bibliography.
  1. Use content notes to refer to as many texts as possible and include these in your OBRAS CITADAS.
