Oral participation will be evaluated daily according to the following scale from 0-5.

        0 =    0% = absence

        1 =  20% = attendance without participation

        2 =  40% = passive participation without preparation

        3 =  60% = passive participation with preparation

        4 =  80% = active participation with preparation

        5 = 100% = active participation with exceptional preparation

These daily points will be added at the end of the semester to determine the final grade. Only ONE absence will not affect the participation grade. Please note that a positive attitude and respect for all members of the class are important components in evaluating each student's participation.
