All students will be responsible for writing essays to offer critical analysis of literary and cultural texts in the course. These will be the writing component to complement the oral reports.

These essays must be 3-5 complete pages, typed, and double spaced. Recommended font sizes and styles are Times New Roman 11-12 and Arial 11. Students are also required to use software either in Macintosh or PC programs to check spelling, accents, etc.

Grammar, Organization, and Critical Content are all components of these assignments.

Evaluation: 25% Grammar/Organization
                    75% Critical Content
