Work expected:

A short critique of each film is due every Friday before five. There will be a Mid-Term and a Final Exam (May 9th) You may choose to do a final paper instead of an exam. In that case, the outline of the final paper is due April 18th and the final paper is due on May 9th. If possible (depending of the size of the class) students will be required to present a film of their choice and lead the class discussion. This will be graded as a weekly critique.

In the first week of April Cinestudio will present the annual French Film Festival, this year the theme is"La jeunesse: Coming of Age in French Cinema." Students will be expected to see at least 2 of the films presented.

It is essential to attend every class and attendance will be part of the grade. Remember that if you miss class you are actually missing a week of classes.

Grade: 1/4 mid-term;1/4 final exercise; 1/4 weekly critiques; 1/4 class participation + class presentation
