Toys and Experiments

One of the reasons why I find physics so stimulating and enjoyable is that wherever I look, there "it" is. This is not surprising, of course, because the principles of physics account for everything that goes on in the physical world. A significant number of the projects that I pursued over the years were unplanned, spontaneous inquiries provoked by having observed some unexpected behaviour of commonplace objects. Some of these projects were written up as chapters in my books. Others were written for publication but, for one reason or another, never made it into print (although the theoretical and experimental work is sound and the exposition is clear, insightful, and least in my opinion). In this section I collected some of these technical essays that describe investigations that were particularly interesting and instructive to undertake.
