This website is meant to be (become) a resource for anyone concerned about the use of the World Wide Web as a means of disseminating prejudice and bigotry and interested in it as a means of opposing the spread of prejudice and bigotry. The original idea for the site arose in the context of a Trinity College First Year Seminar in the Fall semester of 1998 entitled, "On Prejudice." Building the beginnings of the site was to be one of projects collectively done by the seminar members. Various vageries of a busy semester resulted in this project not coming to fruition. The seminar did do a great deal of research on the web, examining and assessing a variety of websites--sites devoted to dissemination of bigotry and sites devoted to fighting bigotry.
