Population & Language Honduras is home to just over 6 million people. The cultural majority consists of mixed American Indian and Spanish descent, called Mestizos or Ladinos. Spanish is the dominant language in mainland Honduras, although English is most prevalent on the Bay Islands. |
Poblacion y Lenguaje Honduras es habitada por mas de 6 millones de personas. La mayor parte de la poblacion es mestiza o ladina. El idioma oficial es el espanol, sin embargo en las Islas de la Bahia, el ingles es el idioma predominate. |

Infraestructure Although is a small country, it posses four international airports: one is in the nation's capital, Tegucigalpa; another is in the industrial capital and tourism hub, San Pedro Sula; Hondura's ecotourism capital, La Ceiba; and Roatan, the Tropical Diving Capital of the Caribbean (an actual title awarded by Skin Diver Magazine). A variety of international rental car companies offer quality vehicles for traveling in Honduras. The major cities offer the full range of traveler accommodations, ranging from many first-class hotels to a variety of less expensive alternatives. Many fine restaurants offer nearly every type of international cuisine, as well as the typical honduran food. Honduras has an extensive network of paved roads, which are generally considered the best roads in Central America. Honduras also offers a modern Telecommunications network, including long distance direct dialing, easy access to the Internet, and cable and satellite television. |
Infraestructura A pesar de que es un pais pequeno, cuenta con 4 aeropuertos internacionales: uno se encuentra en la capital de la nacion, Tegucigalpa; en la capital industrial, San Pedro Sula; la capital del ecoturismo, La Ceiba; el cuarto aeropuerto en la capital tropical de Buceo del Caribe, Roatan, con titulo actual otorgado por la Revista Skin Diver. Una bien desarrollada industria de auto-transporte terrestre ofrece excelente servicio de primera clase. Acomodaciones desde hoteles de primera clase hasta una diversidad de comodas alternativas. Muchos finos restaurantes ofrecen todo tipo de comida internacional, asi como la deliciosa comida tipica. La red carretera del pais es considerada la mejor en la region centroamericana. Honduras tambien ofrece una moderna red de Telecomunicaciones incluyendo discado directo de larga distancia, facil acceso a Internet y television por cable satelite. |

| GUANAJA Half a millennium ago, Columbus christened what is today Guanaja as the "Island of Pines", when he landed there on his fourth and final voyage to the New World. Although there are a few patches of pine on Roatan, Michael Rock Peak (1,350 ft.) makes Guanaja the tallest of the Bay Islands. The majority of Guanaja's 10,000 souls live on one key called Guanaja Town or Bonacca. In addition to great diving, Guanaja offers a unique and private experience for those wishing to explore above the surface of the sea: Hiking, The waterfall, Kayaking, Fishing. |
GUANAJA Hace medio millenio, Colon bautizo lo que es hoy dia Guanaja, con el nombre de Isla de los Pinos, al llegar aqui en su cuarto y ultimo viaje. Aun hoy dia, Guanaja cuenta con una importante poblacion de pinos caribenos que le dan un ambiente distinto a esta hermosa isla, la segunda mas grande del archipielago de Las Islas de la Bahia y la que tiene la montana mas alta, con casi 500 metros de altura. La mayor parte de la poblacion, de casi 10,000 personas, que viven en la isla habitan la poblacion de Bonacca, ubicados en dos cayos aledanos a la isla. Ademas de proporcionar el servicio de buceo, Guanaj ofrece una experiencia unica y privada, incluyendo las siguientes: Escalar, Cataratas, Kayaking, Pesca. |
