In collaboration with Roger Mirza (at the Facultad de Humanidades, Universidad de la República O. del Uruguay), I have led a 15-member research group to study and discuss the way Recent History is imagined and constructed by contemporary theater. Our goal is to publish a collection of essays on this topic before the end of the year.

Under the rubric of “frontier theatre” or “contaminated spaces”, I am conducting fieldwork research on the topic of “theatre outside the established theater” as a tool for community building and a means of producing an encounter and a dialogue among the various sectors of a fragmented society and culture.
