Delphi -- home of the oracle of Apollo

We made a brief daytrip up to Delphi during the kids' Easter break -- and came back with lots of photos and rugs but (alas) only one good squeeze for all Gary's work.

Anyway, here is the beautiful site.  The Greeks really did know how to site their temples.

Our hotel had fabulous views looking out to sea

 

 

 

But maybe the best thing of all, from the kids' point of view, was the farmyard next door to our hotel, with a flock of chickens, some cowering barnyard cats, and a turkey who considered himself quite the king of the yard:
