Soil Erosion and Magnetic Enhancement at Badger Ridge, Hitchcock Nature Center, Iowa

Badger Ridge is a prairie-covered loess ridge located in western Iowa, a few miles northeast of Omaha. NE. For the past six years we have measured soil erosion rates on these steep (slopes > 90%) loess hills. For the past six years and taken numerous soil cores to quantify rates of soil development in loessic soils.
