In this class we study of the physical properties
of the Earth, how they are measured, and how they can be used to explore the
interior of the Earth, inaccessible to direct observation. Includes
discussions on shape of Earth and gravitational potential, seismology, as
well as the Earth’s thermal, magnetic and electrical properties. Prerequisites: PHYS 131, MATH 132 |
