to the left shows the most interesting rock you'll see this week. You
can click on the image to see a larger version or check out the original
in the case in front of the Geology lab.
To get full credit you need to show your reasoning. For example: If you identified a specimen as a diorite, you would need to tell me that you observed large crystals, no sedimentary bedding, fossils, or grains, and half the grains are black, while the other half is white. etc... You can click on the image to see an enlarged version of the rock, or visit the lab to see the real thing (recommended). |
