After an early breakfast we drive back to Zion and take the tram into the canyon. At Weeping Rock we make a strategic mistake: Hidden canyon is best saved for the afternoon heat, while the trail to Observation Point is hiked in much more comfort during the early morning hours. We decided to do it the other way round: spend a nice cool morning in the canyon and suffer in the heat on our way to the overlook.

Nevertheless, the view from the top is awesome, even though it takes us a while to enjoy it. Back in the Valley we hang out at the lodge for a while before we check out the Emerald Pools. They turn out a bit disappointing. I guess it's hard to impress us Northeasterners with the color green...
