Some of us have the
energy to get up early again to watch the sun rise over the South Rim. This
time it was definitely worth it! After a late breakfast we go Condor
chasing. Dr. Morrison is all excited until she learns that the otherwise
rare birds are on their way of turning into the "sparrows of Grand Canyon
Village". We can clearly distinguish them from Turkey Vultures by their
pretty obvious wing patches. Nevertheless, we all end up taking waaaaay too
many pictures of Condor # 03. We get back to Bonito campground just in time to climb SP mountain in the late evening to bag another spectacular sunset. |
