Where are we? A first look at maps at Hilltop campground.	Plant identification after breakfast.	Our first breakfast of the trip: pancakes with real CT maple syrup.
		We spent a windy night (or so we thought) at Hilltop campground, within sight of sparkling Las Vegas. After having pancakes and packing up our tents we spend the morning identifying plants as we make our way down the mountain. Pahrump is a windy little town near the California border.  We buy groceries and have lunch in the city park. On our drive to Death Valley we see plenty more dust and almost lose Vickie in an especially vicious gust.
