Helix Rises At Seabury 47Last Wednesday, Studio 47 hosted its last performance of the semester, Helix Rising. This Boston-based dance company featured the talents of dancers and founders Olivier Besson, Debra Bluth, Rick Brostoff and musician Peter Jones.The performance was entirely improvised. The play, directed by senior Nora Matthews '00 and written by graduate student Kat Carlman, tells the story of two sisters who attempt to live normal lives in the face of their mother's on-going battle with manic depression. The daughters explore their own identities in relation to their mother's illness. The story takes place in the 1950s, the day of and the day after the mother's return home from the hospital.The cast includes Brooke Evans '02 as the mother, Annie Armstrong '00 as the older sister, Emily Goldfrank '03 as the younger sister, and Peter Wannemacher '03 as Robbie, the only outsider to the problem. Trinity Treated To Blues Woman Reanae McNealLast Wednesday, Trinity College was treated to the inspirational, thought provoking and emotionally stimulating performance of Reanae McNeal's one-woman play, Blues Women Don't Wear No Shoes.The performance, sponsored by the Women's Center, attracted a small, but dedicated crowd.
