Baseball. It's our national pastime. I thought "apple pie" was our national pastime, but Matt here has informed me that even though apple pie is good, really good, especially with vanilla ice cream on top, food can not be a national pastime. Anyway, if you've been watching the American League Championship Series between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees and the National League Championship Series between the Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets, you've seen baseball at its best, with underdog teams like the Red Sox and Mets fighting like supermodels over a can of mousse on a bad hair day. Here are a few snapshots taken during these series that you may not have seen on NBC or FOX:
