The Trincoll Journal: Paradigm of Journalistic Excellence
Amol Modi - Chief of Staff
The Trincoll Journal is a unique publication in the Trinity Community, but this week it has gained a new distinction. The Trincoll Journal is now the only campus publication who has not found itself in trouble for making innapropriate remarks.
As Rob mentioned last week, the Other Voice, a print magazine that hasn't printed in over a year, is under threat of lawsuit by Chuck Norris for a satirical article written 5 years ago. This has prompted many reactions from the student body, including an editorial by Trinity Tripod (the paper of the establishment) Editor-in-Chief Dan Berman that chastised the Other Voice for being so frivolous.
Ironically, the Tripod has found itself in trouble now for two articles appearing in the same issue, one which complains about immigrants stealing American women, and one complaining about Trinity's food service workers. These articles prompted a huge response from the student body, with a protest being cancelled at the last minute by promises of a Tripod apology.
This leaves the Trincoll Journal as the final bastion of excellence in journalism on the Trinity College campus. A beacon of integrity, the Journal maintains the highest standards in its reporting, and would never stoop to the levels that these publications have. Rest assured that we have no controversy, and are providing wholesome, enriching news to the world.
