It was a damn hot summer in Southeast Asia. The average temperature was somewhere in the 90's, and I was traveling in a beat-up Toyota truck through central Thailand, heading for Chiangmai from Bangkok. I wasn't looking for an archeological discovery or religious enlightenment, it was just... Alice in Thailand. ![]()
Of course I saw a lot of spiritual art-
The intricate works of the Buddhists-

And the treasured beauty of Asia-
I ran into the more interesting regions of the country in Chiangmai-![]()
But no, I did not take advantage of the opportunity.I was feeling psyched out already by the scenery-

All of the religious works surrounding me everywhere
and the people living by the strict religious codes of conduct-
Beautiful gold was everywhere-

Thailand was the embodiment of beauty in every sense- body, mind, spirit, and soul-
