"Angel of Darkness!"

AGNES: Though you have beguiled me with your innocent face
And deceived me with your beauty
Your eyes give way to the darkness in your soul.
Silence, leave!

DUNCAN: My dear, how can you turn away a true admirer?
My poor heart impaled by cupid's arrow
That my love like my blood
Runs from the head to the mouth of the Nile.

AGNES: I shall never fall again.
Your fancy words do not move me.
Your false confession does not touch me.
You have killed my compassion and kindness.
Leave now!

DUNCAN: Look in to my eyes and you will see that
I carry the sunlight that caresses you in the morning,
The moonlight that strokes you to sleep at night.
Every whisper in the darkness is my voice
For I am inside you and always will be your angel.

AGNES: Curse you, twisted and evil Darkling.
What in God's name have you become?
What madness burns in your head?
Oh, Darkling, be gone! Leave!

DUNCAN: Your mind filled by twilight of vehement
Words trip over your stuttering thoughts.
All senses and feelings are swallowed in a wave.
I am your true conscience to
Wake you to the firm earth.

AGNES: You live in a godless and mindless dream,
A violent soul which sheds its own blood
And sucks out its own breath
In a cruel struggle to maintain sanity;
Deranged obsession slumps and crawls over your mind
Twisting and turning to consume itself.
That madness I glimpse in your mind
Is a surreal landscape I dare not enter.
Leave me my serene sanctuary!

DUNCAN: You are the seed of my madness.
Such beauty cannot even be found in my dream kingdom
Although it as flourished in m°br> Your countenance has planted my destined sadness.
My injured feelings need your healing.
Show some forgiveness,
Have some sympathy, my dear friend!

AGNES: Damn this whole glimmering nightmare!
Depart! Never can I be sympathetic!
May God help you for I have done enough.
Never speak to me
For in your every word lies a crazed imp.
I have been too kind. Go!

DUNCAN: Your tongue is stiff like a corpse.
Agnes, cease betraying me
With this game of bedeviling seduction
And cruel rejection.
Damn you, oh my blinded one.
You trampled over my love and my kindness.
I shall be just in avenging your wrongs.
Be warned and fear the coming of my wrath!

AGNES: Denial rings in your head;
Demons dance in your mind.
May God be with you, deranged Darkling.

DUNCAN: The hatred in your words
Brings up my anger from the grave.
I am the darkness that lurks in the demon's soul.
I am the blood thirsty hound who will haunt you
Till your blood covers all the snow of the Alps.
Cry out to your God! For he is deaf and dumb
And still rots on the crucifix of bones at the Skull.
I who am His first creation has defied the Creator.
When the circling vulture lands I shall reign.
Now death hands over your threshold.
Recant! Recant! I am your salvation.
I am eternal. I am the light, the serpent
And the son of Lucifer.
