Hola! Welcome to my humble attempt at informing humanity of my existence in this world. Throughout these next few lines you'll find incisive wit, cutting humour and clear political commentary to guide you through the rest of your day. You'll find a lot of BS too, but hey - life isn't perfect... I was asked to make a home page because of the article I wrote for the Trincoll Journal so this is my first attempt at HTML. I hope y'all like it! (That's not me on the right. Really. It isn't.)

Quick Overview

Rick Tait (b. 14 June '71) lives and works in Central London, England. While wearing a suit, he pretends to work for the world's 3rd largest investment bank, primarily within the Fixed Income (ie, Bond) market. While wearing 501's and a t-shirt, he drives his little red convertible (pictured left) on cold, crisp, sunny days to beaches, barbecues and pokey little cafes on hidden-away London sidestreets with his American cat, Ely. That's Ely (right) on one of his off days. These damn cats. Give 'em too much Prozac and look what happens!

Focus on me

Well, I guess this should be short, sweet and to the point. Can you say Compact and Bijou? I thought you could!

OK. Here's some things that I like...

  • Still, silent nights on deserted beaches
  • Convertibles (I have two - '74 MG & a beat-up '62 Porsche)
  • The Trincoll Journal
  • Cooking and preparing spicy food
  • Small-town America
  • Travelling to unusual places (I've been to China, Afghanistan and Ghana).

    And here are some things I don't like...

  • Impatient, insane and crass drivers
  • Dogs that lick you all over and dribble on your legs
  • The teeny little bits that are left at the bottom of your cereal packet
  • Pretentious writing
  • Chocolate Ice-cream
