When grades start to tumble down, it is then that I find my solace in philosophy and the inadequacy of the education system to value a man at his true worth. I am a graduate student in Computer Science, desperately trying to find the ideal panacea for the world. At present the world centers around me, so I am searching for a thesis topic, a topic which makes life easy for me but appears to be excellent in the eyes of my supervisor ( any suggestions ? email : csrcx@cs.ust.hk ).

Meanwhile, I live in the fortress of my dreams, where I am the king. Here everything is pure, unblemished, as I want them to be. I used to fight wars, and when I lost them, return back within these walls where I was secure, where I could not lose. But these days I have lost interest in wars, quite complacent with the way the world leads me and care not when the wings of my fort are broken. But then metamorphosis is as certain as my existence.

These, then, are my interests...

  • Philosophy - I always carry my philosophy with me. There is nothing more interesting than to read my own writings. Apart from that, I have read a little bit of Hinduism, Zen, Taoism, Krishnamurti and Ayn Rand.

  • Writing - Thought I could master both prose and verse. But I have lent the job to others. But I still stick to producing odd ends of what might be called poetry.(I take advantage of the fact that anything goes by the name of poetry these days !)

  • Sketching - I was more prolific in my younger days. But then I have promised Peter I would do something for the journal.

  • And so on ...(meaning, I hardly pursue them anymore !)
  • I love quotes, let me weigh you with one...
