As you know if you've read the previous versions of this page, I hate pics of me. So, this time, I hid them. I don't know why I feel compelled to put pics of me anyway, but since I do, you can see them here.
If you would like to see pics of Kaya and Eric, the older version of this page is available too.
For a complete reference of the quotation on my masthead, please refer to "Plato's Erotic Dialogues". What a great book that was. It got me really into philosophy. Somewhere between solving chemical analysis problems and memorizing biochemical pathways, I'd forgotten to think about what it means to be a person - to have an understanding, a focus, a personal view on the world I live in. Thanks to my dearest friend, Josh Olson, I was reminded of self-development and of "becoming the master of [your] world".
What I am is the master of procrastination. I am supposed to be writing a paper to be published for a research I am doing at Hartford Hospital on the confirmation of known point mutations in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 regions (breast/ovarian cancer tumor suppressor genes). But I don't know, I'm just out of it... It must be the summer heat. I am also having some problems with clinical genetics and its purely diagnostic values, but I will save this topic for some other time... I didn't want to bore all of you with scientific dilemmas. But if you would like to know what I mean, especially if you are involved or would like to be involved in clinical genetics, drop me a line and I might write you back... Depends on how Physical Chem and Physical Biochem treat me next year...

I should motivate to put together Alice in Hawaii and Alice in Hiroshima, but... you know how that goes...
Well, I really should go write that paper...
Wish me luck...
