The Trinity College Chapel building serves as a Hartford landmark, one of the most prominent buildings on the campus, and the hub for the religious life of this liberal arts college. However, the chaplaincy -- in its many forms -- is much more than just bricks and mortar.
It is about encouragement. We strive for members of the college community to explore and find meaning in the various expressions of religious life at Trinity, be it traditional or non-traditional, of the fully confessional or of the "seeking" variety. Our goal is to foster the growth and building of community within the ever-expanding ways in which Trinity students are able to encounter God.
It is about dialogue. Not only do we hope like-minded people will come together and express their connection to a particular tradition, but also that, through our programs, various groups and the individuals within them will learn more about each other.
It is about listening. Whether it be providing a sympathetic ear to an individual, or seeking to read the pulse of community life at Trinity, our goal is to be a listening chaplaincy, hearing and responding to the needs of this highly diverse community.
We invite you to learn more about this ministry of encouragement, dialogue, and listening, and we hope you might find a welcoming niche among the many programs our religious groups offer.
