Men's Rowing
The Trinity College men’s rowing team, coached by Larry Gluckman (6th
Season), recorded an 8-2 record in dual races this spring, won its third
straight New England Championship title, its fourth straight New England
Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) title, and captured the
Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) National Invitational Regatta
crown this spring. The Bantams were beaten by a crew from the University
of Western Ontario in the final race of the Temple Challenge Cup at the
Henley Royal Regatta, after Trinity had bested the Stanford University
Freshmen Eight by two lengths on Saturday to reach the finals for the
second time in four years. Trinity, which had won the Cup in 2005,
posted victories over Southampton and Oxford of Great Britain and Grand
Valley State during the week to advance to the semifinals.
