BANTAMS FINISH FOURTH AT NEW ENGLAND
WOMEN'S TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Trinity Trio Earns All-New England Honors

Amherst, Mass. - Junior Diana Goldman (Milton, Mass.) won four out of five singles matches in the No. 1 singles flight, and combined with senior co-captain Karen Huebner (Burlington, Mass.) to win three out of four doubles matches in the No. 2 doubles flight, reaching the finals of each flight, to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a fourth-place tie with Brandeis in the New England Division III Intercollegiate Women's Tennis Championships this weekend at Amherst College this weekend.

Junior co-captain Courtney Sargeant (Attleboro, Mass.) also reached the final round of her singles flight. Sargeant, unseeded  in the No. 3 singles flight, won three matches, needing the third set to win two of the three.   Sargeant, Goldman, and Huebner receive All-New England honors for their outstanding performances.

The Bantams also received a big lift from sophomore Diana Dreyfus (Scarsdale, N.Y.) who, seeded fourth at No. 2 singles, won three straight set matches before retiring due to an injured shoulder.
