TUFTS BEATS TRINITY IN WOMEN'S TENNIS

Hartford, Conn. - Junior Erika Lee (Layton, Utah) won in singles and doubles lead the visiting Tufts University Jumbos to an 8-1 win over the Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference women's tennis action this afternoon.

Trinity finished the fall dual season at 6-3 , while Tufts which has a five game winning streak, improves to 8-1.

Freshman No. 1 Diana Goldman (Braintree, Mass.) won the only match for Trinity, at No. 1 singles. Goldman was leading 7-6 when Katie Nordstrom (Dublin, Ohio) retired. The score was much closer than the score indicates with three singles matches lasting three sets and one doubles match going into a tiebreaker.
