TRINITY BLANKS CONN COLLEGE IN WOMEN'S TENNIS OPENER
Hartford, Conn. - Sophomore No. 2 singles player Courtney Sargeant (Attleboro, Mass.) dominated in a 6-0, 6-0 victory to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 9-0 win over the visiting Connecticut College Camels in New England Small College Athletic Conference women's tennis action this afternoon.
Trinity is now 1-0 and Connecticut College is 0-2. Sargeant also teamed with freshman Diana Goldman (Braintree, Mass.) to post an 8-3 victory at No. 1 doubles. Goldman won, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 singles and won a second doubles match as the partner of sophomore Karen Huebner (Burlington, Mass.) in an 8-2 win at the No. 3 position.
