TRINITY WOMEN'S SQUASH COMPLETES
FIRST-EVER UNDEFEATED DUAL SEASON

Hartford, Conn. - Hartford, Conn. - Sophomore Amy Brown (West Hartford, Conn.) came back from 2-0 deficit to post a 3-2 win at No. 8 to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 5-4 win over the visiting Princeton University Tigers in intercollegiate women’s squash action this afternoon at Ferris Athletic Center.

Trinity, ranked No. 1 in the nation in the Women’s Intercollegiate Squash Association (WISA) Dual Rankings, completes its first-ever undefeated dual season at 9-0, and wins the Barhite Trophy for posting the best dual record in intercollegiate squash. The Bantams went 2-1 at the Howe Cup to finish 11-1 overall. Princeton, ranked No. 4 in the Dual Match rankings, falls to 6-4 in duals and 8-5 overall.

Princeton senior Julia Beaver (Brooklyn, N.Y.) handed Trinity freshman No. 1 Amina Helal (Manchester, England) one of her few loses of the season, 3-1. In the final dual match of her career, four time All-American and senior captain Janine Thompson (Port Elizabeth, South Africa) lost, 3-0, at No. 2.

Pamela Saunders (Harrare, Zimbabwe) of Trinity posted a commanding 3-0 win at No. 3, while senior Sarah Greenwood (Philadelphia, Pa.) ended her collegiate career with a 3-1 win at No. 9.
