TRINITY WOMEN'S SQUASH BEATS BROWN
IN HOWE CUP QUARTERFINALS

Hartford, Conn. - Freshman Amina Helal (Manchester, England) dominated her match at the No. 1 position to lead the Trinity College Bantams to an 8-1 win over the Brown University Bears in the opening round of the Women's Intercollegiate Squash Association (WISA) Howe Cup Team Championships .

The Trinity women, which are ranked No. 1 in the nation and seeded first in the tourney, improve their perfect record to 9-0, while No. 8-ranked Brown falls to 8-6. Trinity will face No. 4 Princeton, who downed No. 5 Cornell, 7-2, in their opening match, tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.

Helal allowed only three total points in her match, leading the list of seven Trinity players who won 3-0 matches. Senior captain Janine Thompson (Port Elizabeth, South Africa) and freshman Pamela Sanunders (Harrare, Zimbabwe) allowed just four total points at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively for the Bantams.
