TRINITY WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO BATES
Hartford, Conn.- Sophomore forward Katie Carroll (Contoocook, N.H.) scored two goals to lead the visiting Bates College Bobcats to a 3-1 win over the Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's soccer action this afternoon. Trinity falls to 3-1-1 overall and 1-1-1 with its first defeat of the season, while Bates improves to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the league.
Sophomore forward Nicole Mauger (East Bridgewater, Mass.) scored the lone goal for the Bantams on a pass from freshman midfielder Jessica Hanson (West Granby, Conn.), while sophomore goalie Brenna Shields (Cutchogue, N.Y.) had six saves in goal.
