BALDWIN LEADS TUFTS TO WIN
OVER TRINITY WOMEN’S SOCCER
Trinity spotted the Jumbos a 2-0 halftime lead, but pulled within one on an unassisted goal by freshman forward Caitlin Buzzell (Manchester, Conn.) in the 46th minute. Tufts countered with three unanswered goals to pull away in the second half, including a momentum-shifting score by junior forward Jess Trombly (Nashua, N.H.) just 13 seconds later.
Trinity sophomore goalkeepers Brenna Shields (Cutchogue, N.Y.) and Katherine Mahoney (Wellesley, Mass.) combined for 10 saves in a losing effort for the Bantams, while sophomore keeper Meg McCourt (Rochester, N.Y.) had three stops for Tufts.
