AQUILINA LEADS COMEBACK IN TRINITY
WOMEN'S SOCCER WIN AT SALVE REGINA

Newport, R.I.- Junior forward Lindsay Aquilina (Williamsville, N.Y.) assisted on the game-tying goal and scored the gamewinner to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 3-2 win over the Salve Regina University Seahawks in women’s soccer action this afternoon. Trinity improves to 5-4-1 overall, while the Seahawks fall to 4-12.

Trinity spotted the Seahawks a 2-0 lead, as junior Karoline Flynn (East Longmeadow, Mass.) scored goals in the ninth and 42nd minutes of the game. One minute after the second Seahawk goal and three minutes before intermission, Bantam sophomore midfielder Leah Felis (Stowe, Vt.) put Trinity on the board with an unassisted goal on a breakaway.

In the second half, the Bantams tied the score at 2-2 when Aquilina found freshman forward Kristen Geiger (Canterbury, N.H.) who netted her first collegiate goal in the 60th minute. Aquilina converted the clincher on a pass by Felis with 16:00 remaining in the game. Trinity sophomore Katherine Mahoney (Wellesley, Mass.) had nine saves, while senior keeper Kaitlin Dargan (Andover, Mass.) had 12 stops for Salve Regina.
