HOOD AND AQUILINA GIVE TRINITY WOMEN'S
SOCCER WIN AT MANHATTANVILLE
Purchase, N.Y. - Senior midfielder Kerry Hood (Londonderry, N.H.) and sophomore forward Lindsay Aquilina (Buffalo, N.Y.) each scored two goals to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 4-0 win over the Manhattanville College Valiants in women’s soccer action this afternoon. Trinity is now 6-5 overall with its third win the last four games.
Hood scored the game's only first half goal at 32:25, and Aquilina converted an assist from sophomore midfielder Rebecca Sullivan (Bridgewater, Vt.) to give Trinity a 2-0 advantage with 22:55 remaining in the game. Aquilina and Hood each added insurance goals in the final 15 minutes. Trinity freshman goalie Brenna Shields (Cutchogue, N.Y.) made seven saves to earn the shutout, while Manhattanville junior Liz McNamee (West Hartford, Conn.) stopped 12 shots.
