TRINITY WOMEN'S SOCCER STALLS SMITH
Northampton, Mass. - Junior goalkeeper Sarah Bradley (Mansfield, Conn.) returned from injury in style with a shutout to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to an 3-0 win over the Smith College Pioneers in women's soccer action this afternoon.
Trinity evens its season mark at 4-4-1 and 1-3 in the NESCAC, while Smith falls to 4-4-1 after breaking a four game winning streak.
Trinity junior forward Kerry Hood (Londonderry, N.H.) scored goal in each half, including the first one 2:32 into the game, and freshman forward Courtney Doyle (Simsbury, Conn.) added a third goal for the Bantams. Senior Marisa Eddy (Los Angeles, Calif.) and freshmen Rebecca Sullivan (Boston, Mass.) and Kate Salottolo (Bethel, Conn.) recorded assists for Trinity.
Smith outshot Trinity, 11-9, but Bradley made nine saves while holding the Pioneers scoreless. Junior keeper Lizza Sandoe (Lebanon, N.H.) had six saves for Smith.
