O'DONNELL GIVES COLBY DOUBLE OVERTIME
WIN OVER TRINITY WOMEN'S SOCCER

Waterville, Maine - Sophomore Christine O'Donnell (Salem, Mass.) scored the game-winning goal with 5:23 remaining in the second overtime period to lead the Colby College White Mules to a 2-1 win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference women's soccer action this afternoon.

Trinity drops to 4-5-1 and 1-4 in the NESCAC, while Colby improves to 6-3 and 3-2 in the league with its fourth consecutive victory.

The White Mules struck quickly with a goal in the game's opening minute by senior Katie Rowen (Virginia Beach, Va.) on a header off a corner kick. The game remained scoreless until Trinity freshman forward Lindsay Aquilina (Buffalo, N.Y.) headed in a goal from junior forward Kerry Hood (Londonderry, N.H.) with 34:56 left in the game.

O'Donnel finally gave Colby the victory, putting a rebound in past Trinity junior goalkeeper Sarah Bradley(Mansfield, Conn.). Bradley finished with six saves, matching the total of Colby sophomore Emily Posner (Southfield, Mich.).
