TRINITY WRESTLING TRIUMPHS
IN QUAD MATCH OVER WPI, WILLIAMS, MIT

            Hartford, Conn.- Junior co-captain Wesley Connell (Simsbury, Conn.) pinned all three of his opponents, including his MIT foe just :45 into the match, at 165 pounds to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a sweep of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Engineers, the Williams College Ephs and the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Engineers in a New England College Conference Wrestling Association (NECCWA) quad match this afternoon at Ferris Athletic Center.

            Trinity, ranked No. 2 in New England, blanked MIT, 51-0, downed Worcester Tech, 30-13, and defeated Williams, 32-13, in its matches to improve 10-2 for the season.  Williams won two out three matches, while Worcester Tech went 1-2 and MIT lost three times.

             Freshman 141-pounder Mark Romeo (Ridgewood, N.J.) and junior co-captain 197-pounder Mike Doros (East Hartford, Conn. ) joined Connell with triumphs in all three of their matches. Romeo pinned his MIT opponent in the first period (1:20) and Doros beat two adversaries by decisions and won a third match by forfeit.
