TRINITY WRESTLING CAPTURES FIRST-EVER
SWEEP OF WPI QUAD MATCH

Worcester, Mass.- Senior captain Steven Mulvihill (Melrose, Mass.) won all three of his heavyweight division matches to lead the Trinity College Bantams to wins over host Worcester Tech, Williams College, and MIT at the Worcester Tech Quadrangular Wrestling Meet this afternoon.

Trinity, which improves its dual record to 5-4, defeated Worcester Tech, 29-16, in its first match. The Bantams trounced Williams, 34-12, for their first-ever triumph over the NESCAC rivals, before posting a 52-6 win over MIT in their last match. Trinity, ranked No. 10 in New England, lost just two matches, excluding forfeits, the whole day in a dominant performance. Worcester Tech was ranked No. 8 in New England and Williams was No. 9.

Senior captains Riad deFreitas (Silver Spring, Md.) and Ted Govola (Rocky Hill, Conn.) each posted a pair of victories at 149 pounds and 174 pounds, respectively. Sophomore Mark Foresi (West Springfield, Mass.), who had wrestled just one match prior to the quad meet, defeated both of his 141-pound foes by a combined score of 32-17.
