SACRED HEART OVERPOWERS TRINITY WRESTLING
Hartford, Conn. - Sophomore 141-pounder Mark Foresi (West Springfield, Mass.) dominated his opponent, 13-2, but the Trinity College Bantams dropped a 33-10 decision to the Division I Sacred Heart University Pioneers this evening in intercollegiate wrestling action.
Trinity, ranked No. 10 in the New England Division III Coaches' Poll, had won three matches in a row but evens its season dual record to 5-5. The Pioneers, which are ranked No. 4 in the New England All-Division Coaches' Poll, improve to 7-4 with their second straight victory.
Senior captains Ted Govola (Rocky Hill, Conn.) and Steven Mulvihill (Melrose, Mass.) each joined Foresi in the win column for the Bantams. Govola won, 5-2, at 174 pounds and Mulvihill posted a 7-4 win in the heavyweight class.
