TRINITY WOMEN’S LACROSSE DEFEATS
ST. MICHAEL’S FOR FIFTH STRAIGHT WIN
Hartford, Conn.- Junior midfielder Elizabeth Miller (Weston, Pa.) netted four goals and added two assists as the Trinity College Bantams scored an 18-4 victory over the Division II St. Michael’s College Purple Knights in women’s lacrosse action. The Bantams continue their early season winning streak, advancing to a record of 5-0, while the Knights drop to 2-2.
Trinity started strong taking a 10-1 halftime lead on two goals by Miller. Senior tri-captain attack Anna Sullivan (Brookline, Mass.) also played strong for the Bantams scoring four goals and one assist while freshman Beatrice Gratry (Hunting Valley,Ohio) chipped in two goals and one assist and junior midfielder Katelyn Bowman (Summit, N.J.) also added two goals for the Bantams. Senior tri-captain Kelly Jo Burnett (Pennington, N.J.) stopped six shots, and sophomore Alexandra Benjamin (Weston, Mass.) stopped four.
Junior Amanda Lohin (Wellesley, Mass.) scored twice for St. Mike’s, while freshman goalie Jess Anderson (Springfield, Vt.) played the entire game and picked up 13 saves.
