NINE GOALS FOR GRATRY GIVES TRINITY WOMEN'S LAX VICTORY AGAINST WELLESLEY
Orlando, Fla. - Sophomore forward Beatrice Gratry (Hunting Valley, Ohio) scored a career-high nine goals and added an assist to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 19-13 win over the Wellesley College Blue in women’s lacrosse action at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex this afternoon. Trinity improves to 3-0 and the Blue drops to 0-1.
Trinity broke open the game in the second half with nine goals, after leading, 10-8, at intermission. Freshman attack Christine Ryan (Westwood, Mass.) senior co-captain midfielder Katie Bowman (Summit, N.J.) scored twice apiece, while junior middie Betsy Walsh (North Kingstown, R.I.) and senior forward Laura Davis (Bethesda, Md.) added a goal and an assist each for the Bantams. Trinity junior goalie Alexandra Benjamin (Weston, Mass.) made 10 saves to earn the victory.
