TRINITY WOMEN’S LACROSSE
OVERWHELMS SPRINGFIELD IN FLORIDA
Orlando, Fla. - Sophomore forward Beatrice Gratry (Hunting Valley, Ohio) totaled six goals and two assists to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 21-6 win over the Springfield College Pride in women’s lacrosse action at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex this afternoon. Trinity improves to 2-0 and the Pride drops to 0-1.
The Bantams dominated from the start, taking a 13-3 lead at the half, and outshooting Springfield, 39-20. Junior goalie Alexandra Benjamin (Weston, Mass.) made eight saves, while junior midfielder Betsy Walsh (North Kingstown, R.I.) tallied four goals and one assist, and senior midfielder Elizabeth Miller (Weston, Mass.) added three goals for the Bantams.
