TRINITY WOMEN’S LACROSSE ENDS
LOSING STREAK AGAINST BATES

 

Medford, Mass. – Sophomore attackman Beatrice Gratry (Hunting Valley, Ohio) had four goals and one assist to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 14-8 win over the Bates College Bobcats in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women’s lacrosse action this afternoon at Tufts University.  Trinity, ranked No. 18 in the nation, improves to 8-4 overall and 3-3 in the NESCAC with its first win in its last five games, while the Bobcats drop to 7-5 overall and 0-5 in the league.

Trinity dominated the game from its start, taking a 10-0 lead at the half before the Bobcats made it respectable in the second half against a rotating Bantam lineup.  Trinity senior co-captain Katelyn Bowman (Summit, N.J.) also scored four times, while senior midfielder Elizabeth Miller (Weston, Mass.) and sophomore middie Tracy Nesbit (Wellesley, Mass.) each notched a goal and two assists.  Junior Alexandra Benjamin (Weston, Mass.) had eight saves.
