COLBY DEFEATS TRINITY
IN WOMEN’S LACROSSE
Hartford, Conn. - Senior Marcia Ingraham (Georgetown, Mass.) netted four goals to lead the visiting Colby College White Mules to a 9-6 win over the Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) East Division women's lacrosse action. Colby improved to 3-3 overall and 2-3 in the NESCAC, while Trinity falls to 6-2 overall and 2-2 in league play.
Trinity jumped out to an early lead on a goal by freshman Beatrice Gratry (Hunting Valley, Ohio), before the White Mules scored eight goals in a row. Gratry paced Trinity with four scores, while Kelly Jo Burnett Pennington, N.J.) made eight saves in a losing effort. Colby goaltender Anna Schierberl Scherr (Portsmouth, N.H.) saved 22 shots to earn the victory.
