GRATRY SCORES SIX GOALS TO LEAD TRINITY
WOMEN'S LACROSSE TO WIN AT WHEATON

Norton, Mass.- Freshman attack Beatrice Gratry (Hunting Valley, Ohio) scored a game-high six goals to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 21-13 win over the Wheaton College Lyons in women's lacrosse action this afternoon at Keefe Field. Trinity, ranked No. 19 in the nation, improves to 7-2 and snaps a two game losing streak, while the Lyons dip to 6-5.

Gratry scored 1:50 into the game en route to tallying four of Trinity's opening five goals. Wheaton began the contest with a 3-1 advantage, spearheaded by freshman Vanessa Pisano (Vineyard Haven, Mass.), as she registered a team-high five goals in the first half. The Bantams responded to score six of the contest's next eight goals to lead, 7-5, and then traded goals with the Lyons to take a 9-7 edge into the intermission.

In the second stanza, Wheaton trimmed its deficit to 10-9 with 25:27 to go. However, Trinity had an answer, as the Bantams reeled off five unanswered goals to extend their lead to 15-9 with 16:44 on the clock. Trinity led 17-12 with 3:38 to go and then capped its victory by posting four goals in the final two minutes of play. Bantam senior tri-captain attack Anna Sullivan (Brookline, Mass.) and junior middie Katelyn Bowman (Summit, N.J.) notched five and four goals, respectively.

Freshman goalie A.J. Vasiliou (Middletown, Conn.) posted a season-high 27 saves in net for the hosts, while Bantam goalies Kelly Jo Burnett (Pennington, N.J.) and Alexandra Benjamin (Weston, Mass.) combined for seven saves in the victory.
