STRAHLE STOPS TRINITY WOMEN
IN LACROSSE LOSS AGAINST BATES
Cambridge, Mass. - Senior goalie Jen Strahle (Ridgewood, N.J.) made 23 saves to lead the Bates College Bobcats to a 17-14 win over the Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women’s lacrosse action this afternoon at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Trinity drops to 7-4 overall and 2-4 in the NESCAC with its second straight loss, while the Bobcats, ranked No. 21 in the nation, improve to 7-2 overall and 3-2 in the league with their third consecutive victory.
Bantam senior tri-captain attack Anna Sullivan (Brookline, Mass.) led all scorers with five goals and an assist, while freshman attack Beatrice Gratry (Hunting Valley, Ohio) notched four goals, and junior attack Laura Davis (Bethesda, Md.) found the net twice. Senior tri-captain Kelly Jo Burnett (Pennington, N.J.) had 10 saves for Trinity.
Bates sophomore attack Lori Jessup (Hatboro, Mass.) netted four goals, while middie Catherine Crosby (Lincoln, Mass.) and freshman midfielder Erica Nason (Concord, N.H.) each scored three times. The Bobcats came back from a 10-7 halftime deficit.
